When you began your career, were you filled with anticipation and exhilaration at the possibilities that lie ahead? Of course you were! This is likely true regardless of when you started your career and to which generation you belong.
The future is still bright, and what lies ahead is mostly up to each of us and the attitude with which we approach life.
Throughout our journey, moments of triumph and difficulty are inevitable. Just because you do not agree with something does not mean you have to reject it. Rather than get bogged down when challenges present themselves, why not be open and creative and accept it or find the gift or opportunity in those moments.
Wherever you are now, you possess thoughts, choices, beliefs, and the strength to pursue any desired path. For example, I was into sports in school, and my twin brother was (and still is) brilliant. Based on this, my parents decided early on what my future would be, yet I took a completely different path! Despite the challenges life placed before us, we both turned out okay. This is true for you too.
If you let frustrations get the best of you, stress wins. This may sound simplistic, by leaning into negative emotions you lose precious time that you will never get back.
You have everything you need right now. You have more than those who came before you, just as they had more than those before them. You are in the driver’s seat.
